Please go to our website and click on the Parents tab. Under ?On Line Registration? you will see the ?Resurrection Enrollment Portal?. Go into ?Edit Your Family Information? and update where needed. All your family information should be kept updated here during the school year. Below that section, your children are listed who are currently enrolled. Click on each child?s name and update their information. Then print out each of their applications, sign and return to the office along with the re-registration fee of $200 per child. PLEASE NOTE: In past years, we have always had separate re-registration dates, this year you will be re-registering all your children from Pre-k 3 through 8th grade, at the same time on November 7th. Two updates for you, both are things we need your help on... FIRST - As in years past, we will have ads in our journal representing our local businesses. We need your help selling these ads. We ask that you go to those merchants that you frequent and ask them to take an ad in support of our school. It is a great advertising opportunity, particularly since the book this year will be more a keepsake item and so the business ads will be viewed time and again as you and your families look over the book. So do not worry about duplicating someone else's efforts, as it will only show to the retailers how many Res families they have as customers! A journal ad form is attached below. SECOND - We have begun to start soliciting items for our live and silent auctions. We are open to any and all ideas, but of course such things as sports tickets, show or concert tickets, electronics, vacation homes, or experience packages are always popular. We hope you will consider either making a donation of an item or considering underwriting a package (in which case we would take your donation and assemble a package or buy an item on your behalf). We want this to be a great night for all so sky is the limit in terms of our wish list. Thursday, November 17, 2011 @ 7:30 pm Rye Middle School Multipurpose Room 3 Parsons Street, Rye NY Heard in Rye Event on November 17 "Adults and Children in Organized Youth Sports: Who Wins, Who Loses?" will be explored by Bob Bigelow at the November 17 Heard in Rye Speaker Series lecture. The lecture will be held in the Rye Middle School Multipurpose Room, located at 3 Parsons Street in Rye, starting at 7:30 pm. Admission is free. Everyone is welcome. Bob is a four-year NBA player and first round draft choice who explains that, although he graduated high school as one of the top fifty basketball players in the country, he rarely participated in organized youth sports during his childhood in the 1950's and 1960's. Bob now counsels adults on how to keep their youth sports involvement in perspective while enriching their children's experiences, and has led over 1,000 presentations throughout North America, including one in Rye several years ago. His lecture will prompt parents to think about why their kids play sports, and understand what their own motivations are for being involved. At 6:00 p.m. on November 17, just prior to his Heard in Rye presentation, Bob will lead a free Coaches Clinic in the Rye Middle School gym for 3rd-8th grade basketball coaches, sponsored by Heard in Rye and the Rye Youth Council. This is the perfect opportunity for those people who may want to sing in choir but can't make a weekly commitment. This would involve just three rehearsals and Midnight Mass which would include a half hour of carol singing before mass begins. You don't have to be able to read music but it would be helpful. Music and practice accompaniment will be provided so you can learn your part on you own and we can keep the three required rehearsals short.
